ENERGY STAR
Earning the ENERGY STAR® means products meet strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy. When compared to standard models, ENERGY STAR® products are between 15 and 25% more efficient. This model meets ENERGY STAR® requirements for energy efficiency.

Packaged Heating and Cooling Units

In a packaged Heating and Cooling system, all equipment is built into an outdoor unit, usually on a concrete slab or other platform. The "package" that gives it its name provides central air conditioning during the summer and heat in colder months.

Models available use:

Electricity for resistance heating and cooling
Gas for heating and electricity for cooling

The efficiency of packaged systems are rated using SEER (for cooling efficiency), AFUE% (for heat pump efficiency). Ductwork is required to transfer the heated or cooled air throughout the home.
